Bronx & Westchester Estate Planning > Orlando A. Cavallo, Esq.

Orlando A. Cavallo, Esq.

Retired Co-Founder of Cavallo & Cavallo

Orlando A. Cavallo is a Bronx native and, with his brother Vincent A. Cavallo, the co-founder of Cavallo & Cavallo. From the firm’s opening in 1989 until his retirement, Orlando concentrated his practice on wills, trusts, elder law, Medicaid planning, probate, and estate administration, along with personal injury matters. Over those years, Bronx and Westchester families turned to him to plan for the future, protect a parent’s savings from the cost of long-term care, and settle the estate of a loved one. The firm he and his brother built continues to carry the Cavallo name.

A Teacher’s Approach to Estate Planning

Before becoming an attorney, Orlando worked as an educator, and that background shaped the way he practiced law. Estate planning and elder law can feel overwhelming, with unfamiliar documents and difficult decisions about health, family, and money. Orlando took pride in helping clients understand their options in plain terms, so they could make informed choices and build a plan that met their goals. Whether a client was preparing a first will, setting up a trust to protect the family home, or facing a parent’s sudden move to a nursing home, he explained the process step by step. That same approach continues to guide the firm today.

Building a Family Firm

Orlando and Vincent opened Cavallo & Cavallo as a neighborhood practice for the Bronx and lower Westchester, pairing Vincent’s real estate work with Orlando’s focus on estate planning and elder law. That combination allowed the firm to guide families from the purchase of a home through planning for retirement, long-term care, and the passing of the next generation. The firm continues that work today under the same name as part of Fisher Stone, P.C.
